Protecting consumer privacy is very important to us. Our Online Privacy Statement is available to inform you about our collection and use of personal information so that you can make informed choices about how your own information is collected and used. This Statement reflects the OSI policies covering personal information collected at OSI websites on or after the effective date shown above.

We believe that information used responsibly benefits consumers and the economy, whether it is information we house on behalf of consumers conducting transactions or information we collect on behalf of our business clients. In addition, OSI strives to better serve our customers by offering goods and services that we believe fit their needs and interests. When identifying an opportunity, OSI may use consumer information it has collected in an effort to identify consumers who may be interested in that opportunity. For more than few years, consumers and businesses have relied on OSI for safe and reliable service. The relationships we have developed through the years have been established based on mutual trust. Each day we and employees and agents strive to reinforce our commitment to our Customers and consumers. Central to that commitment is ensuring that we abide by a set of privacy policies, which are outlined below. These policies guide us in the collection and use of information as well as employee responsibilities in protecting your privacy. We use personal information about consumers only in a manner consistent with these policies.

In this Statement: Oregon Scientific Inc. is referred to as "OSI" or "we". "Customer", "Customer" or "you" refers to the person (a natural person or other legal entity) who visits the OSI websites and/or orders Products or Services via the OSI websites or an OSI telephone call center, and whose order for Products is accepted by OSI; "This Statement" refers to this Online Privacy Statement; "Products" are the products listed as items for sale on OSI websites; "Services" are any services available from OSI through OSI websites, for example, delivery or packaging services; "OSI websites" are the websites operated by or on behalf of OSI including those located at the internet domain with the URL http://www.oregonscientific.com and http://www2.oregonscientific.com.

COLLECTION OF INFORMATION
OSI collects personal information in order to offer or provide Products and Services to our Customers and Consumers. We may obtain this information from a variety of sources:
Directly from Customers through applications, questionnaires and other materials submitted to us ? this information may include personal information such as email address, name, home and work addresses, telephone and fax numbers; it may also include demographic information such as ZIP code, age, gender, preferences, interests and favorites;
From transactions in which OSI and Consumers are involved ? this information may further include credit card details, age declarations and billing and shipment addresses; and

USE OF INFORMATION
OSI collects and uses your personal information to operate and improve the OSI websites and deliver the Services or carry out the transactions Customers have requested. These uses may include providing Customers with more effective Customer service; making the OSI websites or its services easier to use by eliminating the need for Customers to repeatedly enter the same information; performing research and analysis aimed at improving our Products, Services and technologies; and displaying content and advertising that are customized to Customers? interests and preferences.

We also use your personal information to communicate with you. We may send certain mandatory service communications such as welcome letters, billing reminders, information on technical service issues, and security announcements. We may send periodic newsletters that are considered part of our Services. We may also occasionally send Customers Product surveys or promotional mailings to inform them of other Products or Services available from OSI and its affiliates.

Personal information collected on OSI websites may be stored and processed in the United States or any other country in which we or our affiliates, subsidiaries or agents maintain facilities, and by using an OSI website, the customer consents to any such transfer of information outside of its country.

SHARING OF INFORMATION
Except as described in this Statement, OSI will not disclose customer information outside of OSI and affiliates without first obtaining the customer̼ consent or giving customers an opportunity to opt-out of certain kinds of disclosures. There are some disclosures to third parties that are not subject to the opt-out, such as disclosures necessary to comply with the law or legal process served on OSI; to effect, protect, defend, administer or enforce our rights or property (including the enforcement of our agreements and transactions with customers); or to prevent fraud or protect the personal safety of users of our services or members of the public.

Some OSI products or services may be co-branded and offered in conjunction with another company. If a customer registers for or uses such services, both OSI and the other company may receive information collected in conjunction with the co-branded services.

Finally, OSI may share specific information about Customers to third party processing, verification and enforcement bodies. The shared information may consist of the following:

Financial background information describing a customer's financial status;

Identification information, such as name and address data;

Transaction information, such as account activity, debit activity or credit activity; and

Other information relating to financial matters.

RECIPIENTS OF INFORMATION
OSI may disclose Consumer information to companies affiliated with OSI and to companies or other parties not affiliated with OSI (subject to Consumers' opt-out rights)

These recipients include:

Financial institutions, such as banks, credit card companies and brokerage houses;

Companies that process transactions or provide other services for us;

Government agencies; and

In addition, under United States law OSI is permitted to disclose customer information to certain recipients, like credit reporting.

WE ARE COMMITTED TO PROTECTING THE CONFIDENTIALITY OF PERSONAL CONSUMER INFORMATION.
OSI limits access to personal information to those employees of OSI and its affiliates who need it to fulfill their business responsibilities. Employees must adhere to OSI privacy policies. Employees violating these policies may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal. Vendors and other outside contractors we engage are subject to our contractual requirements to ensure that sensitive personal information is safeguarded.

WE USE APPROPRIATE SECURITY SAFEGUARDS.
At OSI, security is a priority. We employ appropriate measures to protect consumer information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. These may include, among others, encryption, physical access security and other appropriate technologies. OSI continually reviews and enhances its security systems, as necessary.

If you use a password to help protect its accounts and personal information, it is your responsibility to keep such password confidential and not to share this information with anyone. If you are sharing a computer with anyone, you should always choose to log out before leaving a website to protect access to such information from subsequent users.

WE MAINTAIN PROCEDURES TO ASSURE THE QUALITY OF INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND WHERE APPLICABLE, WE WILL INFORM CONSUMERS ABOUT HOW THEY CAN ACCESS THEIR PERSONAL INFORMATION AND MAKE CORRECTIONS, IF NECESSARY.
OSI employs appropriate measures to assure the quality of information we collect directly from consumers. Customers have the ability to view or edit its personal information online. In order to help prevent Customers? personal information from being viewed by others, Customers will be required to "sign in" with their credentials such as email addresses and/or login ID and password. Of course, editing would not be possible if the information reflects historical transaction information or if correction would violate the privacy or legal rights of a third party. Where applicable, we abide by laws related to such information. You can correct factual errors in your personally identifiable information by sending us a written online request that credibly shows error. We reserve the right to independently verify claims made. To protect your privacy and security, we also will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before making corrections. We reserve the right to assess a service charge for providing you any information in connection with your request.

THE COLLECTION AND USE OF INFORMATION OF CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 13.
OSI websites and related services are not directed at children under the age of 13, and OSI does not knowingly collect from or maintain at OSI websites personal information from these children.

When an OSI website does collect age information, and users identify themselves as under 13, the OSI website will either block such users from providing personal information, or will seek to obtain consent from parents or guardians for the collection, use and sharing of their children's personal information.

Please note that if Customers grant consent for their children to use our services, this will include such general audience communication services as e-mail, and these children will be able to communicate with, and disclose personal information to, other users of all ages. Parents and guardians can change or revoke the consent choices previously made, and review, edit or request the deletion of their children's personal information.?If we change this Statement in a way that expands the collection, use or disclosure of children's personal information to which a parent or guardian has previously consented, the parent or guardian will be notified and we will be required to obtain the parent's or guardian’s additional consent.

We encourage you to talk with their children about communicating with strangers and disclosing personal information online. You and your children should consult with external online safety resources for additional information about using the Internet safely.

WEBSITE MAY BE LINKED TO OTHER WEBSITES
OSI may create links to third party websites and we allow third party ad servers/networks to display advertisements on our web pages. However, OSI is not responsible for the content or privacy practices employed by websites that are linked from our website.

USE OF "COOKIES"
We use "cookies" to enable you to sign in to our Services and to help personalize your online experience. A cookie is a small text file that is placed on your hard disk by a Web page server. We strive to give Consumers choices about how their data will be used. You have the right to opt-out of (direct us not to make) these disclosures when the Consumer information is about you. Of course, there are some disclosures to third parties that are not subject to the opt-out, as outlined above. When you use this service, you will be asked whether you wish to opt out.
